തുടര്‍ന്ന് അവര്‍ രണ്ട് പേരും കപ്പലില്‍ കയറിയപ്പോള്‍ അദ്ദേഹം അത് ഓട്ടയാക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു. മൂസാ പറഞ്ഞു: അതിലുള്ളവരെ മുക്കിക്കളയുവാന്‍ വേണ്ടി താങ്കളത് ഓട്ടയാക്കിയിരിക്കുകയാണോ? തീര്‍ച്ചയായും ഗുരുതരമായ ഒരു കാര്യം തന്നെയാണ് താങ്കള്‍ ചെയ്തത്‌
